Regulatory
Regulated, accountable, transparent.
AcuFin Global is licensed by the Financial Services Commission of Mauritius and operates under the full weight of Mauritius's anti-money-laundering, beneficial-ownership and substance frameworks. This page sets out our regulatory posture in plain terms.
Licence
01 / 08
Financial Services Commission, Mauritius
AcuFin Corporate Limited holds a Management Licence and a Trustee Licence issued by the FSC under the Financial Services Act 2007. Both licences are in good standing. Our licence numbers and full scope of authorised activities are available on request and disclosed at engagement.
AML / CFT
02 / 08
Anti-money-laundering and counter-financing of terrorism.
AcuFin operates a risk-based AML/CFT framework aligned with FIAMLA 2002, the FIAML Regulations 2018, the FSC's AML/CFT Handbook, and the AML/CFT/CPF (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2024. We perform customer due diligence and ongoing monitoring on every engagement, screen against international sanctions lists, and report suspicious transactions to the Financial Intelligence Unit. An internal Money Laundering Reporting Officer is in place at all times.
Beneficial ownership
03 / 08
Beneficial-ownership reporting.
We maintain beneficial-ownership records for all entities under our administration and file with the Registrar of Companies' statutory register, in accordance with the threshold of direct or indirect ownership or control of more than 25% introduced under the AML/CFT/CPF (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2024. Beneficial owners are required to provide written declarations on engagement.
FATCA / CRS
04 / 08
International tax reporting.
AcuFin is registered for FATCA and the OECD Common Reporting Standard (CRS). For each entity under administration we determine the reporting status, classify accounts, and file annual reports with the Mauritius Revenue Authority for onward exchange. Country-by-Country reporting and economic-substance returns are handled in the same workstream where applicable.
Substance
05 / 08
Core income-generating activities.
Mauritius's substance regime, required both for FSC licence maintenance and for partial-exemption tax access, applies to most of our clients. We support entities to meet their core-income-generating-activity (CIGA) obligations through resident directors, qualified staff in Mauritius, local board meetings, principal banking, and audited financial statements prepared in Mauritius. Following the Finance Act 2025, substance must be satisfied by the activity that generates the income, we structure accordingly.
Data protection
06 / 08
How we handle your information.
AcuFin complies with the Mauritius Data Protection Act 2017 and, where applicable, GDPR (EU/UK), POPIA (South Africa), and the UAE Federal Personal Data Protection Law. Jurisdictional notices are linked from our legal page. Our Data Protection Officer is reachable at dpo@acufin.global.
